at Fondation Louis Vuitton, Paris

Work in situ,
From 11 May, 2016

Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris presents Observatory of Light, a temporary work by Daniel Buren. The artist will show the iconic building by Frank Gehry shading  new light through a play of colours, projections, reflections, transparencies and contrasts, both inside and outside the structure. Buren’ new project will be on view form May 27th on L’espace Louis Vuitton in Venice during the announced upcoming exhibition: “Fondation Louis Vuitton Building in Paris by Frank Gehry. With Daniel Buren work in situ.”
The exhibition which has been first presented in occasion of Foundation Louis Vuitton launch, was redesigned by Gehry Partners for the Espace Louis Vuitton in Venice and represents the first step for the Espace that, from May 2016 onwards, is going to be an important satellite of the Foundation, as they will share contents, artworks, cultural and artistic themes related to the upcoming exhibitions.

DANIEL BUREN HAS CONCEIVED AN AMAZING PROJECT, SUITABLE AND FASCINATING, IT’S THE RESULT OF A REAL DIALOGUE BETWEEN HIS STRUCTURE AND FRANK GEHRY.”
