Gucci presents the exhibition “No Longer/Not Yet” curate by the Creative Director of the Italian Brand Alessandro Michele, in collaboration with Katie Grand, Editor in Chief of LOVE magazine. Seven renowned artist, from around the world have been invited to contemplate the concept of contemporary. Michele would agree with French semiotician Roland Barthes, who said: “The contemporary is the untimely”. The artist have interpret this idea through different prospective and artistic installations that are displayed at the Minsheng Art Museum in Shanghai. Between the participating artists there is the Chinese multimedia artist Cao Fei, the American sculptor Rachel Feinstein, the American Neo-conceptual artist Jenny Holzer, the British photographer Glen Luchford, the British photographer Nigel Shafran, the Chinese Op artist Li Shurui and the British illustrator and artist Unskilled Worker. Their installations, drawing, pictures and artworks will be exhibit in different rooms that will explain the new contemporary vision of Gucci.
