Tokyo #FendiGinza

50th anniversary celebration of Fendi’s presence in Japan

For the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Fendi’s presence in Japan, on the 20th November, the famous luxury Italian brand has inaugurated Fendi Ginza, a new pop-up store in Ginza, Tokyo.

This one-and-only impressive store is conceived to highlight Fendi’s signatures in a fun and surprising way and it will be the first Fendi boutique in Japan to showcase men’s and women’s Collections. To pay homage to Japanese culture and celebrate the store’s opening, Fendi’s Bag Bugs and Qutweet Kigurumi will also pop up inside the new location.

Fendi Ginza is based on the contemporary interpretation of Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome the new headquarters of the roman brand, and Fendi heritage. The amusement park sophisticated appearance gives to the pop-up store a playful atmosphere curated in every detail. This modern and contemporary space embodies innovation, creativity and quality.

“THE GINZA AREA NOW IS ONE OF THE MOST BUSTLING AND THRIVING SHOPPING AREAS IN THE WORLD. THE CULTURE OF THIS CITY IS DEEPLY ROOTED IN BOTH RESPECT FOR TRADITIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP, AS WELL AS PASSION FOR CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION, SAME VALUES WE SHARE AT FENDI.” – PIETRO BECCARI, CEO OF FENDI

The Ginza pop-up store will also exhibit the Fur Tree, a site specific artwork created by Makoto Azuma, the worldwide Japanese artist known for his flowers art pieces. His tree stood tall and green during the store opening characterized by pink fur flowers bloom that witness the transition of time. The experimental approaches to the work based on repeated trial and error where creativity meets the most elevated Savoir-Faire, represents the main link between Azuma and Fendi’s values.
