Miuccia CanvasesMiu Miu accidental beauty

Austerity silhouettes and hyper feminine shapes
characterized the Miu Miu girls for the SS20.

For Miu Miu SS20 the architectural scheme of the Palais de Iena was transformed into a OSB wooden made sort of theatrical space, which somehow suggested Miuccia Prada going back to her beginnings when she was at Piccolo Teatro in Milan.

The foundation of the collection were linear shapes and 40s-50s echoing silhouettes that Mrs. Prada reworked in multiple variants through the introduction of hyper feminine elements: a crop-top cardigan, altered buttons, draperies, shoulder straps, painted flowers. As she juxtaposed classic austerity shapes with unexpected details the materials she used also echoed this direction as silk and satin were accompanied by basic fabrics such as cotton and wool voile.

You could feel the power of creative freedom and accidental beauty look by look as the Miu Miu girls walked through the space with all their indomitable and naive charisma.
