Gagosian Gallery, New York
9 November – 23 December, 2015

Jeff Koons latest exhibition is shown at Gagosian Gallery in New York where the American artist, famous for his reproductions of banal objects made of stainless steel with mirror-finish surfaces, presents a new series of paintings entitled Gazing Ball. The artworks deal with the power of artistic gesture since Koons is in dialogue with artist of the past like Manet, Courbet, Titan and many more. The result is paintings with a gazing ball that sits on a painted aluminum shelf attached to it; where the viewer can reflect themselves. This connects the viewer to the history of culture since the act of placing this ball augments the sensory perception.
