Gucci has launched a new creative digital project, the Italian Luxury house wants to underline the importance of a perfect balance between traditional heritage and contemporaneity.

Thanks to the new Creative Director Alessandro Michele, Gucci has become more audacious and young exploring #GGBlooms and it’s floral prints and  #GGCaleido with it’s geometric motifs ontop of the classing GG pattern; which is the fashion equivalent of painting over an old masterpiece.

#GucciGram is a portfolio created with creative autonomy, a space where selected artists from all over the world, are able to show their artworks that features the two new Gucci patterns. The result is an online platform with a complete freedom of expression of their personal ideas, sometimes with an harmonic result but often incongruous.

Gucci has also created a micro-site to house the work at gucci.com/guccigram. The site features an introduction by the writer Kyle Chayka and a number of responses to the work by other commentators.
