Ibizian free spiritLoewe meets Paula's

A colourful ode to the
Island’s youthful essence.

Shot by UK director Dan Emmerson
Music by Soulwax and Michel Gaubert

Joined by the passion for craftsmanship and underpinned with creative director Jonathan Anderson’s own childhood memories of visiting the boutique, LOEWE presents the new Paula’s Ibiza II collection.

Prints selected by Jonathan Anderson from Paula’s archive adorn LOEWE’s signature pieces, as well as a range of sundress and kaftan designs. A broader selection of beachside accessories and menswear, add brightly patterned swimsuits to the offer.

The collaboration is celebrated with a short film, Close to Paradise, shot in the pine-rich countryside and pristine coves of Ibiza and directed by UK director Dan Emmerson.

The film is a colourful ode to the places and personalities that embody the island’s past, present, and future. Guided by Soulwax and Michel Gaubert’s feel-good summer melody, which includes four local characters reminiscing about wild Ibiza nights in the sixties, seventies, and eighties, the film brings the song to life with a vibrant cast of cameos and the playful prints of the brand’s latest Paula’s collection.

The patchwork of unique perspectives includes artist Antonio Villanueva, Paula’s founder and designer Armin Heinneman, the inexhaustible Italian go-go dancer Anna Maria ‘Noche y Día’, consummate PR queen Rossetta Montenegro, as well as the ever-enigmatic Tanit – known affectionately as the last hippy of Ibiza. Joined by long-time LOEWE friends Bryan Boy, Gala González and Blanca Miro, as well as a fresh-faced cast representing Ibiza’s youthful essence, the film is an elegy to the island’s cyclical, storied charm.
