Felice Varini
Open Air
at MAMO, Marseille

Experimenting in the space
On view until 2 October, 2016

Felice Varini faces Le Corbusier’s architecture at MAMO and evolves with it. This is the first time the French-Swiss artist finds himself exhibiting in and with architecture designed by the great architect. Felice usually operates in situ, here his artworks span the whole terrace offering three different viewpoints. Each viewpoint function like a point of interpretation of the space that changes according to the way the spectator approach the artworks.

“HE IS ABLE TO USE, UNDERLINE AND HIGHLIGHT A SINGLE
ARCHITECTURE EQUALLY AS WELL AS A WHOLE CITY. THE SPACE IS HIS NATURAL MEDIUM.”
