For the 57th International Art Exhibition, the Fondation Louis Vuitton presents Pierre Huyghe‘s retrospective, which is part of a series of events organised within the “Beyond the Walls” program. As part of the 57th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, this program gives rise to new exhibitions displaying works from the collection at the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton of Tokyo, Munich, Beijing and Venice for allowing to make accessible to a wider public international projects. Pierre Huyghe follows a deeply personal journey from the end of the ’80s: he refers especially to the movies, science fiction, music, science and archeology expressing himself through films, installations, performances, photography and drawing. Retrospections allow Pierre Huyghe to express himself each time in a different way, allowing visitors to exit from a “anthropocentric” point of view. The Foundation Louis Vuitton will present three works from the collection: A Journey That Wasn’t (2005), creature (2005-2011) and Silence Score (1997). On display from May 10th to November 26th, 2017 at the Espace Louis Vuitton in Venice.
