Fall Winter 2016 Ready-to-Wear
#PFW

For the CHANEL Fall-Winter 2016/17 Ready-to-WearKarl Lagerfeld revisits the codes of the House, that have been forever synonymous with the CHANEL allure, in a very contemporary spirit. Men’s reefer jackets, accumulations of long strings of pearls are worn like scarves, helmets and riding hats. Witty accessories that merrily punctuate the silhouette. The color palette goes from black to grey, pink, reds, touches of fuchsia. Tweed whether classic, woven or sparkling, it comes lined in gold, silver or bronze lamés, visible through zippered slits in skirts, reminding us of Gabrielle Chanel’s famous adage that everything should be as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
Classics are re-edited, cropped, mixed, they find new shape as the gabardine trench coat that becomes a maxi volume duster jacket. From the front row, in a décor reminiscent of the 31, rue Cambon salons where Gabrielle Chanel presented her collections, everyone can join the contemporary classic allure of Chanel

“PEOPLE COMPLAIN THAT THEY CAN’T SEE THE CLOTHES BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO FAR AWAY, THIS SEASON EVERYBODY IS FRONT ROW.” KARL LAGERFELD
