A lifetime in PicturesCamera Press at 70

A fascinating visual exploration of fashion and
the changing trends in portrait photography

Founded in 1947, Camera Press celebrates it’s Platinum anniversary this year with Camera Press at 70 – A lifetime in pictures. The exhibition offers a fascinating insight into photography displaying the work of photographic legends such as Yousuf Karsh, Baron and Jane Bown through to contemporary names that include John Swannell, Jason Bell, Jillian Edelstein, Chris Floyd and Laura Pannack.
Spanning from photography documentary-styles of swinging Sixties to flamboyant 80s when pop superstars take centre stage with the birth of MTV-culture and portraying the cool Britannia of the 90s, Camera 70 offers a fascinating visual exploration of fashion and reveals the changing trends in portrait photography as well as the evolution of the role of celebrities and distinguished public figures over the last 70 years.
